1895 - Spokane County Courthouse |
The architect for the Spokane County Courthouse, Willis A. Richey, was born in Ohio in 1861. It is amazing that Willis A. Richey didn't even go to school. He was trained by a correspondence course. The only reason he wanted to design and build the county courthouse, was because there was a prize for the most original design.
